Introduction:

friendly] A Hawaiian vacation is complete without
a real Hawaiian luau, and no luau is more complete, more fun and
held in a more beautiful setting on Oahu’s leeward coast. It's not just the
traditional luau food - savory Kalua Pig and kiawe-smoked
steaks, Lomi Lomi Salmon and grilled Mahi Mahi - but also the
entertainment experience, with music and dance reflecting the
history of Hawaii from ancient times to present day. Long ago, a
luau could last for weeks, and people ate and danced until they
literally collapsed. Today, all the fun is found into one
terrific evening. The setting is beachside. As the sun goes
down, the torches light up, and the magic begins!
Your evening begins with live Hawaiian melodies, tropical breezes and a
colorful Mai Tai. Stroll through the Hawaiian Village and learn
the arts and crafts of the islands and Hawaiian games. The arts
and crafts of old Hawaii are as beautiful as they are intricate
and complex. Visit the Hawaiian Village and take part in the
demonstrations. Learn how to make traditional Hawaiian lei's or
leave with a slightly more permanent memory, temporary
Polynesian tattoos!
After the delightful Shower of
Flowers, participate in the Hukilau on the Beach and learn the
net fishing techniques of old Hawaii. Witness the pageantry of
the Royal Court Procession and the time-honored techniques of
underground oven cooking at the Imu Ceremony. The evening
continues with a delicious Polynesian feast, an extensive menu
tastefully blends the best of traditional Hawaiian dishes, local
favorites and continental cuisine. Once the sun sets, the Main
Stage explodes with the beauty and excitement of traditional
song and dance of Hawaii and Polynesia. Award-winning dancers
will entertain and amaze you with a performance that is as
unforgettable as the perfect setting of the luau itself.
